Getting A Little Older

You know how it goes when you want something. Well, as I got older I couldn't wait for retiement to sit back and hunt and fish. I just happen to live in Clear Lake , Iowa where the walleyes are great and the yellow bass taste so good you could eat them every day and twice on Sunday. Guess what? I retired and had knee surgery and several other things go bad and I'm so unsteady I can't maneuver the bank to get down to the lake so there goes fishing. The fields I used to walk for hours pheasant hunting I lose my balance and fall a lot so there goes hunting. So my retirement is sitting at the computer trying to enjoy my email friends and hope my friends bring me some of those fish I dream about.

My New Blanket

My sister brought me over a new blanket. It is very warm. I do not need to use heavy blankets on the bed when I use this blanket. Since my knee surgery, my knee is still sore and it hurts to have a heavy blanket over it. This blanket keeps me toasty warm. It is very light and it is surprising how warm it is. I sure like it.

Day 3 of Knee Replacement

This has been a very tough day. The girls came in for physical therapy and they could not do much with me. I have had the worst pain ever today!! They say I am not getting back my strength like I should. That isn't good. I haven't had any appetite so I haven't eaten much of anything. That probably doesn't help either. But it is hard to eat when you don't feel like it and you are in pain all the time.
