Life in general.

You don't realize how much you miss your youth until it's gone. The things you could do with one hand, now take both hands. That doesn't even count the extra effort it takes to pick up boxes or even full garbage cans. While you are straining to get it done, you look next door and the (40 something) is walking out with one in each hand. You know I always figured out of everything I've got, it would be my mind I would miss. My mind in still working really well, I wish my body could catch up.

Iowa Falls trip.

Today I had to go to Iowa Falls for a funeral. My brother-in-law passed away and was buried today. It was a sad time but also a time for renewing family ties.My sister is getting along very well considering. We don't need anymore for a while.

Too much

I can't believe after 7 hours of clearing snow yesterday, it started snowing early this morning. Only one to two inches predicted this time. Last time it was ten inches of wet heavy snow.God bless the guy who built the snowblower.

It's a mess

Looked out this morning to ice everywhere. The windows on the south and east side of the house are iced over. I helped a friend yesterday and then came home and messed up. Tired I guess so entered my blog twice. I can't be doing that or I'll run out of room.

Not Again

We've had 40 degree weather the last 5 days and most of the snow is melting. The weather man says the biggest storm of the winter is going to hit tonight and run through Sunday. Expected freezing rain, followed by sleet and ending with 7 to 13 inches of snow possible. I really think I would enjoy living down south. Something to think about I guess.

Protect Yourself

On any given day, you can see TV comercials for auto insurance companies saying they are the best or lowest priced company. I was talking to friends of mine that told me about a site online that also has life insurance and can give you all the quotes you could possibly want on all types of insurance even homeowners policies. The more I think about it, what could be better than price checking from the comfort of your own home. I think I'll try it.

New Posting Opportunity

My sister got approved by a posting company called blogsvertise.com. She tells me they send you the posts by email so you don't have to compete with everyone else. You have quite a bit of time to do them too which is great. I need to make money at home and this sounds like a great opportunity. She is going to get me more information on it and I am going to look up their website and see what it is all about. I hope I will be able to do this as it sounds very good. I got my new table set up and new monitor and it is working great so I am ready to go.

Warmer

The wind has finely died down and the temperature stayed above zero last night. Warming trend coming in this week to everyones delight. High 20's and low 30's for rest of the month. Let's hope we can get rid of some of this snow.

snowblower

We didn't get much snow last night and that was great. Then when I tried to start the snowblower the rope starter wouldn't kick in. I guess it's either work on the blower in the cold wind or shovel it. Will have to check other places I do and if it isn't bad, just leave it.

more snow

I can't believe it's going to snow again tonight. Forecast says 1-3 inches by morning. I've had more than plenty for the winter already.

eCard Valentines

I've been playing around with the computer and sending Valentines to my three sisters. It's too cold to do much of anything else but is supposed to start warming up overnight.

Valentines Day

Today is Valentines Day and I am going to give my special friend a big box of chocolates and surprise her. She won't be expecting anything so she will be doubly surprised.

Tomorrow is the Big Day

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I need to get to the store and get something for my special friend. Everyone says women want flowers and candy so guess I will go see if I can find a beautiful box of candy I can afford. She will be surprisedbvg

More work

Well, we got 4" of new snow last night and it was a job to get it all cleared out around here. I help out alot of neighbors with my snow blower. Now they say we are going to get another 4-5" tomorrow with blowing snow advisory. I sure don't look forward to that.

Sunday

Here it is Sunday and I slept in. My sister and her husband are Greeters at their church this morning. It is alot better weather than it was last Sunday but still very cold.

I am working very hard at getting these posts on my blog. I have alot to learn yet. My sister is trying to help me so I should be doing better soon.

Semi-Tractor

Saw cousin Butch's new semi-tractor today. Made me realize how much I miss being on the road. I would prefer warmer weather though.

My Best Friend

My best friend has a beauty shop. She has been alot of help to me over the last few years and I have helped her out at her home and shop, building a beautiful deck and many carpentry items inside. We enjoy going out for a good steak every now and then. It's great to have such a good friend.

Errands

I have alot of errands to run today and at least it isn't snowing. I took my friend, Bob, to see his mother at the hospital yesterday. He is glad to have a taxi as he can't drive.

Snow Blower

Time to get the old snow blower out again. Looks like we have a couple of inches of new light fluffy snow and I will get out there & blow out the driveways around here as well as mine. Keeps me busy. Be glad to get back into the warm house though.

Cold Monday

It is a bitter cold Monday again. It was -20 this morning and now they are saying we could get 1-4 inches of snow tomorrow. I sure hope it warms up because it is going to be very very cold snowblowing if it doesn't warm up some.

Really bad weather

It is about -20 today with wind chills of -35 and -40. No one is going out today. If your car broke down you would freeze to death in no time. I'm in no shape to walk very far either and neither are alot of people. Good time to stay in the warm house and watch a movie.

Climate Changes

They tell me the climate is changing. They say we have global warming and the earth is getting warmer all the time, icebergs are melting, etc. Well they ought to be here where they are having ice carnivals and we have had sub-zero temperatures for the last couple of days and going to have more for the next few days. I don't like it and I am going to stay in where it is warm all that I can.

BRRRRRR

The sun is shining. The wind is really blowing hard out of the NW and it is 11 below zero. A good day to stay in where it is warm and watch a good movie. Got to pick up the mail though.

Below Zero Temps

It is below zero and going to get worse for the next couple of days. I am tired today. Think I'll just stay in the warm house and play with my cats, Mitten Kitten and Little Bit.
