Snow Isn't Bad Sometimes

My friend has 2 pickups with snow blades mounted to them. He called me and asked if I wanted to push snow for him and I said sure. I'm retired and love it when something I can do comes up. I'm particially disabled and can't do a whole lot of things I used to 10 years ago. Driving a pickup and pushing snow is just what I like so I made a few dollars and helped pay this months bills. It would be nice if I could do that every month.

Snow storm

Boy did we get some snow this week. I'm glad it wasn't as much as Baltimore got with it's 5 feet of snow. We got about 12 inches but it was enough when there isn't any place to put it anymore. The drifts along the roads are 5 feet high and the corners are at least 8 feet. You have to pull into trafic and then look both ways. You can't see if there's anything coming if you stay behind the crosswalk.

Valentine's Flowers

It has been a really busy time with Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Next came all the ball games on television and New Years celebrations and I just now realized that Valentines Day is next month. That isn't very far off. I have a really good friend that helps me out so much. She keeps me company wherever I go and I help her out with lots of errands. Her business keeps her pretty busy and I am retired so I have more time than she does. I was just thinking how much she loves flowers. However, like I said, I am retired and I am living on a very tight budget so what I need is to get some Flower coupons. A friend told me about them and I am going to check out the Internet and see if I can get hold of some. In that way, I could show her my appreciation for her and all she has done for me. I just know how much she loves beautiful flowers and she would be so pleased with anything I pick out for her. What a surprise it would be too. I think that would be just the thing. I did think about a little box of chocolates but she watches everything she eats and is very health conscious so flowers would be the best thing to get for her.
